Bring back a glossy, strong floor

Do you want to get back a glossy and strong hardwood floor? We offer a 3-step refection process: we scrub and polish your flooring and apply a finishing coat. This won’t affect the markings on your flooring, but it will gain back its luster and strength.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The three questions we hear most about floor repair.

Can a water-damaged floor be saved, or does it need replacing?

It depends on the severity. Minor cupping, stains and damaged sections can often be repaired and blended into your existing floor. Severe buckling, or boards that have gone soft and spongy, usually need to be replaced. We’ll assess your floor honestly and recommend the approach that saves as much of it as possible.

Will the repair match the rest of my floor?

That’s our specialty. We repair strip and parquet flooring and blend the repaired area into the surrounding wood — for example, when matching a new floor to an existing one after a wall has been taken down. Our 3-step refection can also bring back the luster and strength across your whole floor without a full sanding.

What should I do right after water damage?

Act quickly. Stop the water source, soak up any standing water, and get air moving with fans, because cupping and mould can set in within 24–48 hours. Then call us — the sooner we can see the floor, the more of it we can usually save.
