We install oak, maple, cherrywood, ash and beech, with walnut and cherry available on special order — in grades from No. 1 Clear through to Rustic, and in several board widths. The right choice comes down to your style, the room, and how much traffic the floor gets. We’ll walk you through the options and recommend what fits best when we give you your estimate.
Yes. Solid hardwood should adjust to your home’s temperature and humidity before it’s laid — this helps prevent cupping or gaps down the road. For damp areas such as basements, where humidity is normally higher, we especially recommend parquet (marquetry) flooring, which stands up well to those conditions.
