Why 97% dustless sanding matters for your home

When you refinish hardwood floors the old way, fine dust ends up everywhere — on shelves, in closets, even in your furnace. Dustless sanding changes that. Here’s what it is and why it’s worth it.

What “dustless” actually means

Our sanding machines are connected to vacuum cleaners fitted with HEPA filters. As the sander works, the dust is pulled straight into the vacuum at the source instead of drifting through your home. The technique we use cuts dust emission by up to 97%.

Why it’s better for your home

  • Cleaner air during and after the job — important if anyone in the home has allergies or asthma.
  • Far less cleanup. There’s no need for a major cleaning spree once the work is done.
  • Less dust settling into finishes, electronics and your HVAC system.

Because we can’t completely seal off a home, a fine layer of dust may still settle on a few surfaces — a couple of passes with a vacuum clears it.

It pairs with an eco-friendly finish

We finish with ecological, Quebec-made Finitec products that are low-VOC, odourless and non-yellowing — and they dry in a few hours, so most of the work is done the same day. Clean air during sanding, low odour during finishing.

The bottom line

A solid hardwood floor can last a lifetime and be re-sanded 10 to 12 times. Doing it dustless means you get that beautiful result without turning your home upside down.
